1977 MINT MARK 4 ROLEX DOUBLE RED SEADWELLER Ref 1665 VANILLA PATINA
SOLD
The Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller 1665 is one of the most iconic and historically significant dive watches ever produced. Introduced in the late 1960s, it was designed specifically to meet the extreme demands of professional saturation divers, going far beyond the capabilities of standard dive watches of the era. This specific example retains all its original parts and is in mint condition. The original dial is free of any damage or wear. The indexes and matching original hands have gained a nice vanilla patina. The watch also retains its original silver date disc with open 6s and 9s. The original fat font bezel insert has very lightly faded to a deep greyish finish. The case remains thick ad retains its bevelled edges. The back case is very clean with the straight ROLEX wording, with its serial number engraved on the inside. The original bracelet, reference 93150-585, showing some very light stretch, is also original to the watch, with a A clasp code, dating it to 1976. The watch was fully serviced late December 2025 by our professional watchmaker and will be delivered with 1 year full mechanical warranty.
