1966 MINT & RARE AOPA UNPOLISHED BREITLING NAVITIMER Ref 806

Rare AOPA only mid 1960s Breitling Navitimer 806. While Breitling still did not have official representation in the united States, it distributed its aviator´s chronographs via the AOPA, or the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. It was at the time the largest aviation organization worldwide. Yet shortly after, Breitling registered its trademark in the US and could then present its watches in its own name. The AOPA logo is therefore a rare find.
The original dial is very clean and free of damage whatsoever. The tritium on both the dial and hands is 100% original, not relumed. The unpolished case shows very light wear for its age. The Breitling Venus Caliber 178 was recently serviced and timed. The watch is equipped with a newer vintage style Italian made 22mm leather strap.
